Group nutrition challenge!

ANNNNNNNND...  I'm super pumped that some of my clients are joining in to do a nutrition challenge!  Some are doing the Whole30, some are doing Paleo- but I am so excited that each of you are taking a step towards cleaner eating!!!  I'm by no means an expert, but I am here for each of you!  And I have some friends that I can talk to if I don't have the answers to your questions!!

Text, Facebook, Call me anytime with questions (or if you need someone to yell at you "STEP AWAY FROM THE ICE CREAM!")

Good job ladies & gents!
Jen

Goal: Whole 30 - CHECK!

My first health-related goal for 2012 was to clean up my diet...  after much research (& self pep-talks!) I decided to detox my body of processed foods by doing the Whole30.  (Google it- I highly recommend it!)

Basically, it is 30 days of healthy, clean food choices-no dairy, grains, sugars...  I made it and feel so much better!  After the 30 days, I'm down 8.1 pounds and about 4 inches!  My skin is better, and the best part is that I just feel better!  I'm now transitioning to a paleo lifestyle (with a few cheats!) and I hope to keep up this better way of eating!

Set goals, and don't stop until you smash them!
Happy Wednesday- Jen :)

Make the time!

How many times have you heard someone (*ahem*- possibly yourself?!) say that they don't have time to workout?  I totally get it - Life is busy!  Throw in a crazy work schedule, kids with sports & school activities, birthday parties, church events, and weekends full of sports and it does seem like it's hard to fit one more thing into your already-packed schedule!  Not many people have the luxury of spending hours and hours at the gym each day, or even each week!

You have to schedule your time to workout just like you would schedule any other appointment!

MAKE the time, and COMMIT to that schedule!

Many people do better if they are working out with a friend or a group, or using a trainer.  Having that extra bit of accountability is a great motivator, especially on days that you might just be going through the motions!

If you want a rock-hard body like this-

You have to work hard for it!
Make the time to workout!!

It is never too late to change your life- so when are you going to start?!

Personal Training:

I do personal training in 30 minute or 60 minute sessions, and the number of times that we meet each week is completely up to you!  We can meet at Elite Athletics Gym, or at any place that you choose (ie- your house, the park, etc.)  The first time that we meet it will be to gather information and get to know each other.  I need to know your goals, and what your lifestyle is like so I can create a plan for you!

Sometimes a personal trainer is needed to inspire you and push you along towards your goals.  I will help you plan out your workouts for the week, or I will meet with you and guide you through each workout!  I have various times open throughout the week.  Call me to find out more information or to schedule your first session!

The benefits of friends...

Friends can be amazing!  They can also be inspiring, or kick our booty into gear when we're slacking!  The latter part of that statement is relevant to our health...  working out or eating healthy can be difficult when you're trying it alone.  Enlist a friend, spouse, co-worker, child, anyone that will help to keep you accountable in achieving your goals!  Group fitness classes or nutrition challenges tend to be more successful (look at groups like Weight Watchers---> weekly meetings=accountability!)

As we start a new fitness session on January 30th, I am giving all of my clients a chance to become more accountable and start a healthier eating challenge.  Some are doing Paleo, some are leaning towards cleaner eating, and one is working on cleaning up her vegan lifestyle!  The key to consistency is that we are all embarking on this 4 week journey TOGETHER :)

Join in and see the benefits to your health!  Fitness is only one aspect of our health- if you aren't being aware of what you put in your body for fuel, you won't reap the full benefits of your workout!

Have an awesome Monday!! :)

Amazeballs Class today :)

Yes, I watch too much Guiliana & Bill ("amazeballs") :-)

I was so happy at the turnout and energy level of today's 9am class that I had to blog about it!  We had a variety of ages and a variety of fitness levels all together, but everyone worked together at their own pace & we had an awesome time!  So a big fat "THANK YOU!" to those that attended today!

You guys inspire me :)  You have inspired me enough that I'm going to try to make a Saturday class a weekly event!  (Exception to this: when we're out of town for cheerleading stuff)  The reason that I haven't been having it is because I'm just plain-old tired by Saturday... which is not a good excuse!  So enough of my laziness- we will have Saturday classes as long as you guys will be there!

Have a great weekend ladies & gent's!!
