I am 18 days into my Whole30 journey!!
Honestly... I wasn't sure that I would have the willpower to do it! (Ice Cream, swedish fish, and Diet Mountain Dew were a way-too-frequent treat!) I figured that if I worked out every day, often more than once, that my diet wouldn't make that much of a difference. That was an EPIC fail in my thought process!! I did this as a way to detox my body of all of the bad stuff that I've been ingesting (Processed Food = BAD!) and not as a diet, but more of a lifestyle change. Although I wasn't doing it to lose weight, that has been a nice bonus to the healthier eating! Other benefits are that my skin is clearer and my energy levels are great! I didn't think that I could make it through 4 classes & 2 personal training sessions in one day without a major caffeine intake before... now I'm doing it with zero caffeine!
After the 30 days I will transition into regular Paleo- and incorporate some cheats I'm sure- but this has been a great choice for me!
If you have questions about it or would like more info, I can direct you to some great sites and give you some of my non-expert tips that I've discovered in this journey! I also know a few other peeps that have been at Paleo much longer than I have that I could refer you to... It may not be right for everyone, but I believe that everyone can benefit from educating themselves about the food that they are eating. Food=Fuel :)
And since you guys are such sexy beasts... ;-)
On another note- I am so proud of my bootcamper's, HIT client's, and PT client's!! Everyone is making progress and that is not always the case! I try my best to inspire you to work a little harder & embrace the pain (LOL!!) Push it a little harder each time- always do more than the time before! Make sure that you're fueling your body properly. And drink lots of water!!!! I'm not saying no treats- just in moderation!
I hope that you guys are enjoying the new workouts I've been creating! I try to keep them fun, functional, and constantly changing! Your body is probably feeling it this week :) That pain means that you're working hard & your results will keep improving!
I still need goals from some of you... I may have to bring a sharpie to class to write it on you so you remember :-) Happy Wednesday!!
